This exceptional Victorian locket has so many fantastic attributes it is hard to know where to start. A stunning masterpiece of mid 19th century design.

The locket is crafted out of 18k yellow gold, set with a gorgeous blue enamel oval central front panel decorated with a flower set with six rose cut diamonds. This central motif is surrounded by more delicately engraved floral design. It opens to an exquisite miniature portrait of a Victorian gentleman and an inscription to the side that reads "AW to AM 11th August 1856". The masterful design continue to the reverse with a blue enamel anchor surrounded by more engraved floral design.

Every inch has been made with dazzling attention to detail and it must have been a magnificent gift when first presented. Who knows the story behind it, friends, family or romance?
