This elegant and striking antique Victorian mourning ring is a masterpiece of mid 19th century jewelry design. Set with a central glazed locket panel in an simple yet beautiful scalloped black enamel and gold border. One of the most unique aspects of its design is the intertwining gold work shoulders. Expertly rendered and set with black enamel in excellent condition that leads into a substantial 15k yellow gold band.

Interior is inscribed "William Anderson aged 14 died 13 May 1847." A tragically early death, but amazingly we can remember his life and vivid auburn hair 175 years later because such a beautiful piece of art was made to commemorate his life.
