Georgian C. 1800 Foiled Back Amethyst Gold Brooch

This charming brooch is a fantastic example of Georgian jewelry. Dating from the late 18th or early 19th century - circa 1800 is features a large oval shaped foil backed amethyst set in a chased floral 18k yellow gold frame. Later set with a 9k gold pin fitting back and small loop perfect for a pendant bale. Simply add a jump ring to wear as a pendant! A wonderful value for high quality antique jewelry.
